The Thicket Cathedral

Shaped almost like the hull of a boat, the Thicket Cathedral is constructed from wild grapevine, fallen branches, sapling poles, and dried mullein woven in and around a natural configuration of trees located behind the house on top of sacred ground.

The Tetanus Cathedral

Once the Tetanus Factory, the turkey coop has been upgraded to a Tetanus Cathedral. It is covered with extra hubcaps, wallpapered with tin foil, and decorated with other metal objects. Participants are invited to continue wrapping more and more objects in tin foil to add to the inside and outside of the cathedral.

The Firewood Cathedral

This is located next to the shop near the creek. It is made from walls of stacked firewood, positioned around the giant stumps, in order to lay out the floor plan of a traditional Japanese Tea House. And yes I know what you are thinking, and no we are not going to light it on fire. Hopefully, the firewood will last long enough to heat the house through the next winter.

The Satellite Cathedral

Using the old 12' satellite dish, 3 painted shower curtains painted in the round, and old porch wooden posts, we have created a little gazebo area. The satellite dish itself forms a beautiful stained-glass-esque roof, which is radiant when the sunlight pours through it. It is located close to the former Inspiration Station.

The Secret Cathedral

If we told you about it, it wouldn't be secret anymore.

The Shrine In Bibs The Elder

Amelia loves her shrines, and this year, it is located in Bibs the Elder (the Ford Windstar Minivan). Participants are invited to add small items to the shrine.
